Mary G. Iannacone

Mary G. Iannacone, 89, of Norwalk, wife of the late Quido F. Iannacone, died January 23 at the Norwalk Hospital.

Mrs Iannacone was born in Waterbury on December 2, 1914, the daughter of the late Charles and Antoinette Mastrianna Lepore, and had resided in Norwalk most of her life.

Mrs Iannacone was a homemaker and mother of 11 children. She also wrote poetry and played the piano to the delight of her children and extended family. Her doors were always open to all and she mentored many friends of her sons and daughters.

She was a past treasurer and president of the Mount Carmel Society of Norwalk, a devout Catholic and a woman of incredible endurance.

She is survived by six sons: Daniel, Lawrence and Christopher, all of Norwalk; Charles of Sandy Hook; William of Waterbury; Quido of Gilbert, Ariz; and one daughter, Linda Lotierzo of Norwalk; 29 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Faye Carol Colon, three sons: Arthur, Robert and Cyrus, and a great-grandchild Joseph Drattlo, one sister, Cora Bria; and two brothers, Paul LePere and John Lepore.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on January 29 in St Joseph Church, South Norwalk.

Interment followed in St John Cemetery, Norwalk.

Memorial contributions may be made to Connecticut Hospice.
