Valentine Fundraiser For Leukemia

SOUTH NORWALK — The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will hold RED 2004, its third annual Pre-Valentine’s Day Fundraiser, at The Loft  on Thursday, February 12.

The party will feature an open bar, a food tasting of 6 of South Norwalk’s top restaurants, music, silent and live auctions, gift bags, and more.

Limited tickets for the event, which begins at 8 pm, are $75 and $125 for VIP. Last year’s RED sold out in just ten days.

Presenting sponsors for RED 2004 are 95.9 Fox, Triple 8 Vodka, and The Loft.  The Fox’s morning deejay, Bob Bayne, will serve as emcee for the event while WTNH TV News Channel 8’s weekend weather forecaster Matt Scott will be the live auctioneer. Other sponsors include SoBe, WNBC TV New York, Stamford Antique & Artisan Center, MTV Studios, Cos Cob TV, Crown Theatres, Davidoff of Geneva, Prestige Graphics, CDI, and World Courier Management.

Auction items include tickets to a taping of The Late Show with David Letterman, an overnight stay at the Chelsea Savoy Hotel in Manhattan, a flat screen TV, season tickets for two to Crown Theatres, a spa package from Dream Spa, and a diversity of other items designed to please a variety of tastes and interests.

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is to find cures for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma and Hodgkin’s disease and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
