Lenten Journey Redirected

Because of safety concerns in Israel at this time, the Newtown area Biblical sites journey led by Pastors Greg Wismar and Steve Gordon will be traveling to the island of Malta in the Mediterranean Sea from March 20 through the 26.

This journey will follow the footsteps of Saint Paul, who spent a number of months there on his final journey to Rome in the year 60 AD. A number of sites on the main island of Malta relate to the mission work of Saint Paul.

Other sites are connected to the rich Crusader era history of the island chain, which is located between Sicily and the coast of Africa. Full details about the journey are available from Pastor Wismar at 426-0651 or from Rev Gordon at 426-4864.
