Newtown High School’s gymnastics team visited Gymnastics and Cheerleading Academy of Connecticut to take on Fairfield Warde and Ludlowe, along with Darien, on January 21. The Nighthawks scored 126.400 to place third; Darien was first with 130.550, Ludlowe second with 128.800, and Wade fourth with a score of 103.150.

The Nighthawks were led by Bri Schoffstall with a score of 9.3 on the bars, 9.1 on the balance beam, and 8.55 on floor. Ellie Ehret scored 9.3 on beam and 8.3 on the bars. Sadie Boyajian had an 8.1 on vault, 7.6 on bars, 7.6 on beam, and a 7.5 for her floor exercise. Addie Strychalsky’s scores included an 8.3 on vault and 7.5 on floor. Eva Fenaroli had an 8.55 on vault and 7.250 on floor. Bella Muzzio-Martins scored an 8.00 on vault.
