Law Firm Celebrates 20-Year Anniversary By Relocating To Newtown

Bellenot &Boufford, LLC, a full-service law firm, recently took up residence at 280 South Main Street. The firm has been providing services to people of Fairfield and New Haven Counties for 20 years.

Attorney Ron Bellenot, Sr, a founding member of the business, assists clients with bankruptcy, foreclosure, personal injury, and criminal matters. Attorney Kathy Boufford has been with the firm since 1993, starting her career as a paralegal.

She was promoted to associate in 1995, and she became an owner in 2004.

Ms Boufford represents clients in the areas of family law and workers’ compensation. The firm was formerly located in Monroe, and the partners told The Newtown Bee this week that they are excited to begin a new chapter in Newtown.

“Our tag line is, ‘Helping You Through Life’s Trials,’ and that is true now more than ever,” said Ms Boufford. “So many people are being challenged in so many ways, it is not uncommon for us to be handling multiple legal issues for people.”

Both attorneys not only address their clients’ legal problems, but try to advise and counsel them with other issues as needed.

“If we don’t have the answer, we’ll find it,” said Ms Boufford. “If we can’t help with an issue, we’ll direct you to someone who can. You get results and answers when you contact us.”

Both lawyers are very happy with their new office location — in the small blue cape next to the Botsford Drive-In.

“We find it much more comfortable and personal,” said Ms Boufford. “Our clients love it.”
