The Women's Center of Greater Danbury provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions to thousands of women, children, and men annually.

Mr Drazen has won several awards for his work, including four Boston/New England Emmy Awards for Feature Reporting, News Writing, and as executive producer and host of the NBC Connecticut specials Connecticut Discoveries and Destination Education.
He is part of Interval Houseâs âMen Make a Differenceâ campaign, bringing prominent men from across the state together to speak out against domestic violence. He collaborated with Attorney General Richard Blumenthal on a public service announcement and has participated in several events to promote public awareness of this campaign.

Support Groups
The Womenâs Center hosts a variety of support groups and programs that are supported by state and local government, area United Way agencies, and the people and businesses in the communities it serves including Newtown.
The center is currently hosting the following drop-in support groups:
Breaking the Silence for adult survivors of any form of sexual assault meets weekly.
Lesbian Support Group (LSG) meets weekly to provide support, connection to the community, resources, and information.
Survivors Overcoming Abusive Relationships (SOAR) meets weekly.
