‘God Of Carnage’ Cast Announced
Town Players of Newtown has announced the four actors who will be featured in the local theater company’s first production of 2026.
God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza, translated by Christopher Hampton, will open the stage on Orchard Hill Road with performances the weekends of March 13-28.
Terry Sagedy is returning to direct the comedy that takes audiences to the most dangerous place on Earth: parenthood.
What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behavior of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly? Or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums, and tears before bedtime? Boys will be boys, but the adults are usually worse — much worse.
The Tony and Olivier Award-winning God of Carnage is a comedy of manners, without the manners.
Alan and Annette Raleigh will be portrayed by Rich Lamkin and Annette George, respectively, while Matt Donovan and Liesbet Thiel have been cast as Michael and Veronica Novak, respectively.
Tickets are not yet on sale for any of the 2026 productions, which will continue in May with Mark Ferguson directing The Shadow Box by Michael Cristofer; Brian DeToma directing Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest in October; and Gus Bottazzi directing the season finalé, All My Sons, in December.
