Louise Marie (Leonard) Fusco, 92, of New Milford, died February 7, in Tarpon Springs, Fla. She was born in Danbury, April 5, 1917, the daughter of Angeline (Chesto) and Dominick Octavio.
Mrs Fusco is survived by her seven children, including Ben Fusco and wife, Lisa, of Sandy Hook; 20 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren; a godson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a brother-in-law.
In 1954, she and her husband, Peter Michael Fusco, Sr, started P&G Sanitation. Nine years later, in April 1963, her husband passed away and Mrs Fusco was left to run P&G Sanitation, until the time she retired in 1981. She retired to Port Charlotte, Fla., and in June 2000, she moved back to Connecticut to be closer to her children.
She loved to work on crossword puzzles; she enjoyed music, music concerts, an occasional visit to the casinos, and loved to travel as long as it was by automobile. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her and remembered for her unwavering strength.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St Peter Church, 104 Main Street, Danbury, at 9 am, Saturday, February 13. Burial will follow at St Peter Cemetery. Calling hours are Friday, February 12, from 1 to 3 pm, and from 6 to 8 pm, in Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
