John C. Bamberg

Loved Family, Friends, And Golf

John C. Bamberg, 47, of Newtown, beloved husband to Karan and step-dad to Marc, died February 3, at Hartford Hospital after a short and hard-fought illness. His wife was with him, and he was additionally surrounded by friends, and many loving doctors and nurses of the Hartford transplant team that treated him and who had come to, in a short time, care deeply for him.

Mr Bamberg was born in New Haven, and grew up in the Orange area. He greatly enjoyed his work in the computer security field, and was respected by his coworkers who will miss him very much.

In his downtime, his very first love was golf and everything about golf. “HoneyBear” had many friends out on the course, and all will miss his humor (and frustration) on the fairways and putting greens. Boating in the summer with Marc and his friends, and working with Karan on their new home in Newtown rounded out his life beautifully.

As per his wishes, there will be a private celebration of his life at a time to be selected in the future.

Memorial contributions in remembrance of Mr Bamberg made to the Hartford Hospital Surgical Research and Education Fund, Attn: Dr David Hull, in care of the Hartford Hospital Development Fund, 80 Seymour Street, PO Box 5037, Hartford CT 06102.

The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, is in charge of arrangements.
