Anna Marie Unschuld of Sandy Hook and Liz Reznikoff of Newtown were recipients of Work Project Commendation Certificates at Westover School in Middlebury, Conn.

Mallory Gillen McQuail of Newtown received  a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Delaware on January 7.

Kelly Conant of Newtown and Meredith Schlesinger of Sandy Hook have been placed on the dean’s list at University of Delaware for the fall semester.

Catherine Eaton of Newtown has been placed on the dean’s list at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. Catherine is a junior majoring in human development in the college of liberal arts and human sciences at the school.

Newtown resident Lisa Masella, a senior majoring in communications, has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall semester at Western New England College in Springfield, Mass. Christopher Perry of Sandy Hook also made the dean’s list for the fall semester at Western New England College. Christopher is a senior majoring in sports management.

Christopher Wolcott of Sandy Hook has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall semester at Franklin Pierce College, Rindge, N.H. Mathew Miller of Sandy Hook has been placed on the dean’s honor list for the fall semester at Franklin Pierce College. Mathew is a sophomore.

Annamalai Murugappan of Sandy Hook graduated at the close of the fall semester from Wichita State University. Annamalai graduated with an industrial engineering master of science degree.

Brittany Boyle of Newtown has been placed on the dean’s list at Northeastern University for the fall semester.

Newtown resident Kathleen Studley, the daughter of Margaret and Donald Studley, a freshman at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., participated in Hartwick’s January Term Off Campus program in New York City.

The course teaches about the basic elements of theater in an on-campus course, then spends a week in the city where students attend several plays, tour important theater sites, and meet with theater professionals.

Kathleen Mary Maloney, daughter of Mary and Kevin Maloney of Newtown, was named to the dean’s list at Fairfield University for the fall semester. An art major, Kathleen is also active in the student senator association, is chairperson of the Asian Student Association, a writer for the school newspaper, and a member of Circle K, a community service group.

Newtown resident Heidi Ekstrom, a sophomore majoring in business administration at Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I., has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall semester.

John Giannettino of Sandy Hook has been placed on the dean’s list at the University of Massachusetts for the fall semester. John is enrolled in the college of liberal arts.

Wendy Borst of Sandy Hook has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall semester at Temple University in Philadelphia.

The University of Hartford announced that Jonathan Silver and Justin Potter of Newtown have been named to the dean’s list for the fall semester.
