Rug Hooking At Glebe House Museum
WOODBURY â The Glebe House Museum & The Gertrude Jekyll Garden will hold the first of its fireside crafts workshops for adults on Monday, February 27, from 10 am until 2 pm.
Sharon Mathews, the owner of Turkey Hollow Primitives in Woodbury, will give hands-on instructions of rug hooking and binding the finished works using kits with Colonial designs. The class will include an introduction to rug hooking, as well as slides and samples of Ms Mathewsâs work.
Cost for the workshop is $20 for Glebe House members, and $25 for non-members, plus a materials fee; proceeds will benefit the museum. Space is limited and reservations are requested.
