Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Paul Provost, 61, of 28 Oakview Road turned himself over to them on the morning of February 10, and was charged with failure to appear in court.
Police additionally charged Provost with driving under the influence, failure to drive to the right, and failure to wear a seatbelt in connection with the August 6, 2005, case from which the warrant stems.
In that August incident, police said they spotted Provost driving northward on South Main Street with his vehicle crossing over the roadâs centerline and also crossing onto the road shoulder. Police added that while Provost was being stopped on Peckâs Lane, he almost struck a utility pole.
Police held Provost on $7,500 bail for a February 10 court appearance.
Roxburian Charged
Police report that at about 5 pm on February 11, they spotted motorist Brian Rossiter, 19, of Roxbury driving a 1992 Eagle Talon with very dark tinted windows on Church Hill Road, so they stopped him to investigate.
After investigating, police charged Rossiter with having a window tint that obstructs the view and with driving while under suspension. Police released Rossiter on a written promise to appear in court on February 23.
DUI Arrest
At about 6 pm February 11, police report they saw a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck traveling eastward on Walnut Tree Hill Road and crossing over the roadâs centerline. Police said they stopped the Chevrolet on Shepaug Road to investigate.
After investigating, police charged motorist Randall B. Oberg 42, of 14 Mackenzie Circle with driving under the influence, failure to drive to the right, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
After processing the case, police released Oberg on $200 bail for a February 24 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Five MV Charges
Police said that at about 1:30 pm February 11, they spotted a 1991 Ford Taurus being driven northward on Hanover Road with a marker plate displayed in its rear window, so they stopped motorist Quentin Ham, 18, of 6 Dylan Drive to investigate.
Police said they learned that the plate belonged on another vehicle. Police charged Ham with driving an unregistered vehicle, improperly displaying a marker plate, misuse of marker plates, driving without automotive insurance, and driving without a license.
Police released Ham on $100 bail for a February 28 court appearance.

BMW Crash
Motorist Michael Branchflower, 45, of 18 Winton Farm Road, who was driving a 2004 BMW station wagon near 60 Pine Tree Hill Road at about 11:49 pm February 11, lost control of the vehicle during snowy conditions, police report.
The auto went off the right side of the road and drove over a concrete drainage culvert, police said. Branchflower was not injured. Police verbally warned him for traveling too fast for conditions.

Saturn Vs Chevrolet
Police report a two-vehicle accident at the traffic signal positioned at the intersection of Mt Pleasant Road and Hawleyville Road at about 9:20 am February 8.
Motorist John Dimarco, 82, of 63 Elizabeth Circle was driving a 1998 Saturn SW-2 station wagon westward on Mt Pleasant Road, police said.
At that time, motorist Susan Connelly Primavera, 40, of 10 Galilee Way, who was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban sport-utility vehicle, pulled out of Saw Mill Road and then stopped in a line of traffic at the traffic signal on westbound Mt Pleasant Road, police said.
Dimarco could not stop the Saturn in time when the Chevrolet pulled in front of him at the traffic signal and the Saturn struck the rear end of the Chevrolet, police said.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Dimarco for following too closely.
Interstate Crash
State police report that motorist Maureen Graves, 50, of Waterbury, who was driving a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastward on Interstate 84, about one-quarter mile east of Exit 9, at about 10:25 pm February 11, spun off the left side of the road and struck some metal guardrailing.
Graves was not injured. State police said they issued Graves a warning for the accident.
Exit 11 Accident
State police said that motorist Wanda Nieves, 44, of 53 Walnut Tree Hill Road, who was driving a 1994 Saab 900, was stopped and waiting at a red traffic signal at the end of the Exit 11 off-ramp of Interstate 84 about 6:50 pm February 6.
Motorist Louisa Froehlich, 76, of 46 Lakeview Terrace, who was driving a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier, was traveling behind the Saab, according to state police.
Froehlich then sneezed, and the Chevrolet drove into the rear end of the Saab, state police said. There were no injuries. State police said Froehlich was following too closely.
Breach of Peace
At lunchtime on February 10, at Reed Intermediate School, an 11-year-old girl student allegedly pushed a woman teacher, causing the teacher to strike a railing and injure her hip, police said.
After investigating the incident, police Youth Officer Dana Schubert charged the girl with breach of peace. The girl is scheduled to appear in Danbury Juvenile Court on February 27 to answer the charge.
Tiles Taken
Sometime between February 11 and February 13, someone stole 12 boxes of tile from an area outdoors near the back door of Universal Tile and Marble at 103 South Main Street, police report. The stolen tiles have an unspecified value. Police are investigating and ask anyone with information on the matter to contact them at 426-5841.
Chevrolet Into Ledge
While traveling southward on Hattertown Road, south of its intersection with Castle Meadow Road, at about 11:27 pm February 11, motorist Michael Aguis, 19, of 140 Hattertown Road, who was driving a 2004 Chevrolet station wagon, lost control in the snowy conditions and went off the right side of the road, striking some rock ledge, police report.
Aguis was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Nissan Vs Honda
At about 6:56 pm February 14, motorist Gaetan Lariviere, 61, of 222 Berkshire Road was driving a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder southward on South Main Street, police said.
At that time, motorist Partha Choudhury, 39, of Danbury was driving a 1996 Honda Accord northward, police said.
The Nissan then turned left in seeking to enter a driveway at 43 South Main Street, but collided with the oncoming Honda, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Lariviere an infraction ticket for failure to grant the right of way.
