Katherine Kelleher of Sandy Hook was named to the Dean’s List for the fall 2010 semester at the University of Connecticut’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Storrs.

Julia Pendagast, Kaitlin Pendagast, and Megan Pendagast were all named to Rider University’s, Lawrenceville, N.J., Dean’s List for the fall 2010 semester.

Keene State College students were recently named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges; among the honorees was Bethany Morin. The students were selected on the basis of grade point average, campus and/or community leadership and service, and achievement or recognition in their area of study. They must also be a junior or senior. Students are nominated by the faculty, staff, and student body of Keene State College.

Dana Metzger, a senior at Washington and Lee University, Lexington, Va., earned Dean’s List status for the recently ended fall term. Dean’s List status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.

Emily Snyder, daughter of Catherine and Paul Snyder, was named to the fall Champlain College’s Dean’s List in Burlington, Vt., for academic achievements. Emily is majoring in graphic design and digital media. Students named to the Dean’s List are full-time students with a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or more.

Katherine Datin, daughter of Michael Datin and Cynthia Datin, made the Honors List for Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Penn., for the fall semester. A student earns Honors List recognition for achieving a 3.7 or better grade point average.

Sandy Hook residents Kathryn Dunlap and Kim-Li Tran earned Dean’s List honors at Cabrini College, Radnor, Penn., during the fall semester.

Rachel Taback and Sandy Hook residents Keegan Frobey and Andrea Minor were named to the Dean’s List at Northeaster University, Boston, for the fall 2010 semester.

Newtown High School student Sage Musk earned four Golden Key awards during this year’s International Young Artists and Writers Competition. Sage earned the awards in the categories of short story, science fiction, humor, and short fiction. The selected works, chosen from more than 10,000 entries, have qualified him for the national final round of the competition.

Genevieve Marie Santayana of Sandy Hook has been named to the fall Dean’s List at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. Selection for the award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a C and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the fall semester.

In Scranton, Penn., Patrick Daly, Michael Iorfino, and Sandy Hook resident Caitlin D’ Eramo earned placement at the University of Scranton’s Dean’s List for the fall semester. Students at the university must have a grade point average of 3.5 or better with a minimum number of credit hours to make the Dean’s List.

At Sacred Heart University, Fairfield, Nicholas Garofalo, Gabriella Intemann, Melissa Landin, Cody McDevitt, Matthew Pachniuk, Dorothy Dieobi and Sandy Hook residents Lauren Hanulik, Sara Pollock, and Robert Licata earned placement on the university’s Dean’s List for the fall semester. To receive the honor at the university, a student must achieve a 3.6 grade average, based on a 4.0 scale.
