Donut Dash Will Again Support NYFS

Save the date: Newtown Youth & Family Services will once again count on a successful Donut Dash by Michael Porco Jr to raise funds for the Newtown Road Race and Kids Run.

The third annual event, scheduled for Sunday, April 11, is expected to again draw a crowd around Andrea’s Pastry Shop at 9 am where, in the past, Mr Porco has tackled trays of donuts and other foods after a brisk jog from Sandy Hook Center, up Church Hill Road to the bakery at 5 Queen Street.

In past years Mr Porco and the Porco’s Karate Academy have brought in more than $2,500. This year’s goal is to break $3,500.
