Making A Memorable Memoir

WESTPORT — On Friday, March 5, from 1 to 3:30 pm, the National League of American Pen Women will sponsor a writing workshop on “Creating Memoirs.” It will take place in the McManus Room of Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road (within Arnold Bernhard Plaza).

Newtown resident and award-winning editor, teacher, columnist and feature story writer, Joanne Greco Rochman will lead participants in everything from how to get started to how to organize the memoir writing process.

Ms Rochman holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English Literature and is an active member of the National Federation of Press Women, National Book Critics Circle, and American Theatre Critics, as well as the Fairfield branch of Pen Women. She teaches English courses at Sacred Heart University and Housatonic Community College.

Registration is not required, but participants are asked to bring a notebook, pens and/or pencils, and four or five old favorite photographs. The workshop is free and open to everyone.
