Beloved Mother And Grandmother

Mary Grassi, 90, of Southbury, died February 4. She was the widow of Dante Grassi. She was born May 27, 1919, in New York City, daughter of Josephine and John Olivieri.

She leaves a son-in-law, Donald Nowacki of Newtown; a daughter, Ellen Grassi of Southbury; four grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Martha E. Nowacki, predeceased Mrs Grassi.

She was a former resident of Heritage Village and Sanibel Island, Fla. She and her husband enjoyed many years together and had similar interests in travel, bridge, and golf. Mrs Grassi also enjoyed painting, sewing, cooking, and caring for her family, friends, and pets.

A funeral service was held February 8. Burial was at St Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction, N.Y.
