Surviving The ‘Sandwich Generation’

Senior Helpers of Sandy Hook will sponsor a health seminar, “Caught Between Growing Children and Aging Parents,” Thursday, February 25. The event will be at C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, from 7 to 9 pm.

This will be Part I of a lecture series for surviving the “sandwich generation.” Topics being addressed will include navigating in-home care for loved ones, easing the responsibility of the sandwich generation in helping their parents, helping to financially prepare for the future, prescriptions and how to handle their disbursement and keeping a proper log, safety in the home, and other concerns.

Professionals participating in the panel discussion will be Dr Allen F. Davis, from Danbury Internal Medicine Associates, LLC; Dr Della Schmid, Colonial Chiropractic Centre; Richard Gubbiotti, RPh, Drug Center Pharmacy; Attorney Ann Fowler Cruz of Cohen & Wolf; Cathy Dahlmeyer, Newtown Ambulance Corps; and Dana Klesh of United Alarm.

Light refreshments will be served.
