Marie J. Cepetelli Gierzadowicz

‘Grandma G.’

Marie J. Cepetelli Gierzadowicz, 83, of Easton and formerly of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Anthony Gierzadowicz, died February 17. Born on May 11, 1924, she was the daughter of Adolfo and Stella Cepetelli.

Survivors include two loving daughters, Beverly M. Palo and her husband, Richard, of Newtown and Noreen G. Rooney and her husband, James, of Easton; two brothers, Dino Cepetelli and his wife, Jennie, of Stratford and Daniel Cepetelli of Florida; a sister-in-law, Jean Cepetelli of Stratford; five cherished grandchildren, Todd A., Kyle A., and Meridith A. Palo, and Dylan S. and Colin A. Rooney; as well as several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Mario and George Cepetelli, predeceased Mrs Gierzadowicz.

Mrs Gierzadowicz was a graduate of Warren Harding High School. She was a retired employee for the City of Bridgeport, where she worked for the nutrition services department. She was formerly employed at the Bridgeport Brass.

She was active in the Bridgeport North End Seniors Club. Affectionately known as “Grandma G.” to all her neighbors and friends in Easton, Mrs Gierzadowicz always had a pot of sauce and meatballs ready for everyone.

Friends are invited to meet directly in Notre Dame Church of Easton, 640 Morehouse Road, Easton, Monday, February 25, at 10 am, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 6 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
