Signs Of Disrespect By Jenny and Matt Hubbard
To the Editor:
Over the last few years, we've been so honored to connect with many of you at the end of Old Farm Road, at the property site for the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary. Together, we have been inspired and left in awe over the beauty of the land and the animals that inhabit it. We have shared the space with dog walkers, hikers, children, equestrians, nature enthusiasts and community members. Each visit to the property reminds us of the sacredness of the space and instills within us a deep respect for all life.
While most individuals share these sentiments, there are a few who do not. Recently, the property was vandalized with graffiti and the destruction of personal property. Not only are these costly to cor-rect, but also they create an eye sore to an otherwise pristine spot of serenity.
We would like to ask the residents of Newtown for your assistance. If you see any suspicious activity or destructive behavior at this site or anywhere else in the community, please alert the authorities.
The Sanctuary property is open to the public from dawn until dusk. We hope you'll come and visit, share your energy and goodness, and enjoy the quiet peace of this special place.
Sincerely,
Jenny and Matt Hubbard
