Newtowners Help Chase Collegiate School Teams

Newtown’s Emmett White and Taylor Brady, athletes at Chase Collegiate School in Waterbury, have been key members of the school’s wrestling and basketball teams this winter.

White, a sophomore, competed in the 171-pound weight class for the Highlanders’ wrestling team and posted a 9-9 record.

Brady, a freshman, is a 5-foot-2 point guard on the girls’ basketball team. Brady is an integral part of a team that is 26-1, ranked first in Class C, sixth in the Northeast, and which won the Kingswood Tourney, Gillian Blazer Shoot-Out and the Connecticut Independent Schools Athletic Conference’s regular season championship.
