Mr & Mrs Michael Duncan

Monica Adrienne Alpert, formerly of Newtown, and Michael Anthony Duncan, formerly of Poughkeepsie, N.Y., were married on November 2, 2008. James F. Reitz officiated the ceremony, which was celebrated at Villa Barone in Mahopac, N.Y. A reception followed at the same location.

Monica is the daughter of May Ann and Michael Alpert of Newtown. She was given into marriage by her father.

Michael is the son of Nancy Sedore of Stamfordville, N.Y., and Robert Duncan II of Murrells Inlet, S.C.

Tabitha Nesteruck of Patterson, N.Y., was the maid of honor.

Dave Diaspro of Poughkeepsie and Robert Duncan III of Hyde Park, N.Y., brother of the groom, shared the duties of best man.

 Monica is a graduate of Newtown High School and also of Quinnipiac University. She is a corporate accountant for Cartus in Danbury.

Michael graduated from Ketchum High School and then from Duchess Community College. He is a senior account analyst for Cartus of Danbury.

The Duncans celebrated their marriage with a honeymoon in St Lucia. They live in Danbury.
