‘Into The Woods’ Ticket Sales

Newtown High School will present Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods on stage at the high school auditorium March 15–18.

The NHS production will mark the 20th anniversary of the acclaimed musical’s Broadway debut. It opened in November 1987 under the direction of James Lapine.

Tickets are currently available for all four performances of this award-winning Broadway musical, loosely based on familiar fairy tales and full of amusing and poignant narratives. Curtain time is 7:30 pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 2:30 pm on Sunday, March 18.

Individuals and groups can purchase tickets by calling 270-8125 or emailing itwtickets@aol.com. Price is $17 for adults, $15 on Thursday only, and $15 for senior citizens and students, $12 on Thursday. Checks should be made payable to NHS Drama Club.

This year’s dates are a departure from the customary April schedule for the high school musical, to accommodate the many cast and crew members who also compete in spring-season athletics.

Tickets for this production will be sold at Super Stop & Shop in Sand Hill Plaza on Saturday, March 3, from 11 am to 3 pm.

They will also be sold at Dunkin’ Donuts in Queen Street Shopping Center on Sunday, March 4, between 9 am and noon.
