Poeltls Celebrate

Golden Anniversary

Ann and Paul Poeltl joyfully celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with members of their family at 707 On Main Restaurant in Monroe on February 24.

They were married on February 22, 1957, in the chapel at the US Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Calif. At that time, Mr Poeltl was an ensign in the Navy and a student at the school. After living in Fairfield for 40 years Mr and Mrs Poeltl moved to Newtown six years ago where three of their six children and nine of their 14 grandchildren live.

Mr Poeltl now retired, taught mathematics at Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield and New Canaan High School for a total 32 years. Mrs Poeltl, also retired, was a staff accountant at MBI in Norwalk for 20 years.
