Be A Part Of History

To the Editor:

With great excitement, the Newtown Tercentennial Commission invites all Newtown residents to become an important part of Newtown’s history and enter a drawing for the unveiling of the Newtown Tercentennial Commemorative Seal.

A distinguished artist, Brad Howe of the Curtis Packaging in Sandy Hook, has designed the seal, fondly known as our “Logo.” The original framed drawing will be unveiled on Sunday, March 7, at 4 pm, in the Alexandria Room of Edmond Town Hall. The Newtown resident whose name will be selected is destined to go down in the annals of town history as the individual who kicked-off and opened Newtown’s 300th Anniversary by unveiling the official Commemorative Seal.

All those attending the unveiling presentation will receive a gift of a specially designed “collector’s” button with the “Logo” in full color. Refreshments will be served and music of the day will be a bagpipe extravaganza. A historic and memorable occasion, indeed. Please join us.
