Danbury Continuing Education Courses

DANBURY — Whether you have a day, week, or a month or two, Danbury’s Department of Continuing Education still has some open spring series courses including “Growing & Using Herbs,” “Creating a Home Spa,” “Working with Essential Oils,” and “Invest in Your Debt.”

In addition, space on the following tours is still available:

Macy’s Annual Flower Show — Each year is bigger and better. Come see this year’s 30th annual show, perusing colorful displays of orchids, begonias, and even a children’s garden. Lunch at Casa Di Meglio will be included.

Sunday, April 4, Departs Danbury High School at 9:30 am, approximate 6:30 pm return. Fee is $76.

Gillette’s Castle, Griswold Inn and River Quest invite travelers to explore the renovated East Haddam mansion of actor William Gillette. Following a lunch at the historic Griswold Inn, visitors will have the opportunity to take a cruise on the Connecticut River.

Saturday, July 10, Departs Danbury High School at 9:30 am, approximate 6:30 pm return. Fee is $79.

Pride of the Hudson is one of the most elegant ships sailing the Hudson with wide picture windows, opened and enclosed decks. The trip includes waterfront dining at Torches Restaurant.

Saturday, June 12, Departs Danbury High School at 9 am, approximate 6 pm return. Fee is $81.
