NHS: Not 'Awful' But 'Awesome'
NHS: Not âAwfulâ But âAwesomeâ
To the Editor:
In response to last weekâs letter about the âawfulâ behavior that is supposedly going on at NHS, I just wanted to make a few corrections.
As a tenth grader at NHS, I can tell you that it is an awesome atmosphere to learn, and a safe environment to be in. I have never witnessed any sexual activity at school, teachers do not use profanity, and people that do or sell drugs on campus do not get away with it. If you read the police reports, you will see kids getting arrested for these kinds of things.
NHS is just like any other high school, and in many ways, better. The faculty is doing a great job keeping it a great school. I think that most of what you have heard has been exaggerations from your babysitter and rumors from other people. It seems as if every week there is a new letter bashing the teenagers of this town, and I really donât like opening up The Bee and seeing this.
