Program On Spiritual Healing

SOUTHBURY — On Saturday, April 8, at 3 pm, First Church of Christ, Scientist, Southbury, will sponsor a lecture on spiritual healing by Mark Swinney, CSB, of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The lecture will be held at the Rochambeau Middle School, 100 Peter Road, off Main Street South.

Admission will be free. The lecture is a gift to the community from the Southbury church, and is open to people of any denomination who are interested in learning more about God’s care and how Christian Science heals. All are welcome to attend.

The topic of Mr Swinney’s lecture is “The Blessing of Leaning on God.” Mr Swinney is a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship and is an authorized teacher of Christian Science.

He is also a Christian Science practitioner, which means he devotes his full professional time to the public practice of Christian Science – helping people through prayer. Practitioners are most easily contacted through a professional listing in The Christian Science Journal, which is published monthly by the Christian Science Publishing Society. Mr Swinney has been a Journal-listed practitioner since 1988.

Free Christian Science literature will be available at the lecture on Saturday, April 8, at the Rochambeau Middle School.
