Girls Lacrosse Coaches

Housy Golf Tournament
The Housatonic Valley Association Golf Tournament, presented by MacDermid to benefit the clean water and land protection, will be held on Monday, June 11, at the Country Club of Waterbury. A best One-of-Four format, the tournament offers individual and team prizes. Cost is $175 and that includes lunch, dinner, greens fees, and prizes. Lunch is at 11:45 am and dinner is at 6:30 pm. Womenâs Social Tennis
The Newtown Tennis Association is presenting a Womenâs Round Robin tournament on Friday, March 30, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, at the Middlebury Racquet Club. Cost is $8 per person. Bring an appetizer or dessert for after tenbis. RSVP to Elizabeth Lynch (by March 20) at 270-9072.
Hoop Shootout
The Blue Chip Girls Basketball Shootout will be held Sunday, March 18, at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield. Registration is from 8 to 8:30 am, with games set to start at 9 am. This one-day shootout is a high-exposure event designed for student athletes who aspire to play at the college level. Each athlete will have the opportunity to compete against quality competition during the NCAA âliveâ period for college recruiters. Batting Cage
The Batting Cage is swinging into the off-season with a winter training program for high school baseball teams and individual players only. Teams and players can sign up for 12 weeks of training, two hours a week, at The Batting Cage, across from the Fairfield Cinemas in Fairfield. Cost is $199. Call 1-203-259-BALL to reserve a spot.

March Madness 5K
A March Madness 5K road race will be held on Saturday, March 31, at Shepaug High School in Washington. Start time is 10 am. Entry forms are available at Road And Track Sports in New Milford and at the Shepaug High School guidance office. Pre-entry registration is $13. Registration day of the race is $15. The first 50 entrants will receive free, long-sleeved t-shirts. First-place male and female winners will receive $75 while second-place wins $50.
