Financial Planning For Students

Harvey Luft, vice president with Tucker Anthony Inc., has been selected to help implement financial planning education to Newtown High School students through a specially designed curriculum.

The NEFE High School Financial Planning Program is intended to supplement coursework for tenth grade students at Newtown High School. The program will be held on Wednesdays, March 21 and 28, and April 4 and 11, from 7 to 9 pm.

The NEFE program is a dynamic yet practical three-session educational program, developed with the mission to reach, inform, and educate as many high school students as possible throughout the nation in the fundamentals of good, sound money management skills and the basic concepts of financial planning.

The program was developed by National Endowment for Financial Education, based in Denver, Colorado, and is provided as a public service. The goal is to help students in the financial planning profession to instill in young people the essential concepts of personal finance, enabling them to cope with the strong economic pressures of today’s changing society. NEFE’s program seeks to increase the financial literacy of the nation’s youth, empowering them to make positive and sound decisions to reach their financial goals.

Additional information about NEFE High School Financial Planning Program is available from Harvey Luft at 888-909-9314.
