The Newtown Parks and Recreation in-town basketball leagues - from the juniors to the intermediates - will conclude their playoffs this weekend at Newtown High School with championship games in all divisions.

The All-Star games and awards ceremonies will be held Sunday, March 25.

JUNIOR GIRLS
ROCKETS 17, LIBERTY 10: Emily Fields scored seven points and Alex Roy was tough on the boards to lead the Rockets to the win. Kate DeSimone and Elsa Gillis were strong on defense while Tara Gaston dished the ball of well. For the Liberty, Erin Clark and Karoline Engel powered the offense while Kim Vinci, Jackie Gutbrod and Caitlin OâConnell had solid floor games.
NITRO 28, CELTICS 10: Rebecca Narel scored 10 points to lead the Nitro to the win. Sophie Cerretta dished off five assists while Maria Cinquegrana made four steals and Candice Harrington grabbed seven rebounds. For the Celtics, Ali Legros and Casey Frobey canned three points apiece while Caitlin Hansen had four assists. Kate Sullivan, Lauren Cascia and Kendal Deakin all played well on defense.
YELLOW SUBMARINES 18, ROCKETS 9: Christina Wolf scored nine points as the Yellow Subs dispatched the Rockets. Lindsay Coyle, Kellie Datin, Jenna Zigman and Brianne Bowen all played well. For the Rockets, Cat Williams, Kate DiVanno, Kate DeSimone, and Liz OâConnell had solid performances.
NITRO 25, CELTICS 8: Maria Cinquegrana scored seven points, Candice Harrington had four blocks, and Sophie Cerreta had five steals to lead the Nitro to the win. Diana Sieber and Tory Marlin played well. For the Celtics, Caitlin Hansen and Ali Legros had two points apiece as Kendal Deakin made four steals and Casey Frobey pulled down five rebounds.
JUNIOR BOYS
HEAT 45, NETS 41: Garrett Hahn, Jeff Wilkins, Craig Walrath, Mike Miller and Steven Mucci helped lead the Heat past the Nets, who got 14 points from Jordan Miles and eight more from Andy Chimileski.
BULLETS 40, RAPTORS 36: John Lewis canned nine points and Carey Olsen added eight to lead the Bullets over the Raptors. Alex Meisel dished off five assists, Scott Shpunt made three steals, and JD McGrath had five rebounds. For the Raptors, Stephen Marks, Nick Moser and David Modzelewski combined for 20 points while Steve Vichiola dished off three assists.
KNICKS 40, BULLS 29: Ryan Green and Marc Doherty tossed in nine points apiece as the Knicks stymied the Bulls. Matt Berquist had five points and eight rebounds while James Wiedemann had six points and four steals. For the Bulls, Mike Reid canned eight points and Chris Naglieri had four. RJ Marus dealt out four assists while Carl Geswaldi led the defense.
BULLS 44, LAKERS 36: TJ Mueller scored 10 points as the Bulls upended the Lakers. Carl Geswaldi, Gary Andrews and Mike Reid played well. For the Lakers, Andil Ansari canned 13 points while Brad Campbell, John Casson and Adam Cameron had strong games.
RAPTORS 44, HUSKIES 34: Nick Moser scored 12 points and David Modzelewski added 10 more to lead the Raptors over the Huskies. Brendan Reilly had six assists, Steve Vichiola had eight steals, and Stephen Mason had eight rebounds. For the Huskies, Jeff Bell scored 14 points and Greg Kraushaar added seven. Pat Keating brought down 10 rebounds while Robert Raino made four steals.
PACERS 42, TAR HEELS 40: Chris Martin and Joey Feola-Mellon combined for 19 points to lead the Pacers to the tight win. Josh Tennebaum added nine points and six rebounds. For the Tar Heels, Andy Eriquez canned a game-high 20 points while Vinny Guilfoil, Tyler Law, TJ Sharpe, and Steve Moulthrop had good games.
HEAT 49, BULLETS 34: Jim Wilkins, Dave McLaughlin and Alex Naldini all had strong games to lift the Heat to the win. For the Bullets, Alex Meisel scored 11 points and John Lewis added six. Scott Shpunt, Carey Olsen and Chris Yitts all played well.
KNICKS 41, PACERS 34 (OT): Jeff Levasseur canned 13 points while Marc Doherty had seven points and 10 assists to lead the Knicks to the win. Pat Honan had six boards and Dan Gindraux contributed four points, three assists, and five rebounds. For the Pacers, Chris Martin scored 12 points and Joey Feola-Mellon had six rebounds. The Pacers had to rally from a 20-point deficit to force overtime.
TAR HEELS 38, HUSKIES 28: Bob Harrison scored 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lift the Tar Heels past the Huskies. Andy Eriquez dished off five assists. Matt Fisher, Brendan Kelly and Shane Huebner led the defense. For the Huskies, Tim Kerr scored 10 points while Jeff Bell had eight points and eight rebounds. Robert Raino had a solid game.
PACERS 49, RAPTORS 47: Chris Martin canned 20 points and Joe Feola-Mellon added 16 as the Pacers trimmed the Raptors. Kyle Palo had eight rebounds and Tim Sykes made four steals. For the Raptors, Steven Vichiola has 12 points and Brendan Reilly had 10. Stephen Marks dished off eight assists, Nick Varga made eight steals, and Greg Aiello pulled down nine rebounds.
INTERMEDIATE BOYS
WILDCATS 30, SONICS 25: Thomas Hutchison scored 16 points to lead the Wildcats to the win. Erik Dreher scored six points while Daniel Burns played well.
TIMBERWOLVES 59, HORNETS 52: Joe Rahtelli poured in 22 points and Alex Magoulas added 16 points as the Timberwolves outlasted the Hornets. Rahtelli added six rebounds, five assists and six steals. Ryan Wilson and Zack Schwartz combined for 12 points. For the Hornets, brian Pennarola scored 15 points and Josh Wilson added nine. Kris Kling, Dan DeLaVega and Mike Frattaroli had solid performances.
WILDCATS 29, RAPTORS 28: Thomas Hutchison scored 11 points and Kevin Davies added 10 to lead the Wildcats in a close victory over the Raptors. Erik Dreher had eight rebounds and Justin Lemma had five steals.
MIDGET BOYS
KNICKS versus LAKERS: Martin Basso, Trevor Todd, Daniel OâConnor and Kyle Droniak led the Knicks while Andy Lapple, Kevin Walsh, Matt Baier, and Shane Wurtz powered the Lakers.
HUSKIES versus DOGZ: Kyle McNamara, Ben Collins, Daniel Lynch and Chris Marks had solid performances for the Huskies while the Dogz were led by Kyle Kromberg, Timo Roehrs, Zachary Bryan and Ian Cooper.
CELTICS versus BUCKS: Daniel Spencer, Mike Notaro, Zack Dent and Stephen Rolls had good games for the Celtics while Tucker Schmidt, Zack Gordon, Brendan Blawie and Michael Shevlin paced the Bucks.
BLUE DEVILS versus ROCKETS: Brad Biscoe, Tony Vacaro, Harrison Gillis and Daniel Greenwood had nice floor games for the Blue Devils while Spencer Schnell, Peter Wlasuk, Mike Tobin and James Sharpe all led the Rockets.
PACERS versus NETS: Robert Brautigam, Taylor McIlveen, Nick Tarantino and Rick Gallucci led the Pacers against the Nets, who got solid performances from Matt Allison Cole DePuy, Dan Quinn and Connor Collier.
NIGHTHAWKS versus COLTS: Tyler Edwards, Mike Rodriquez, JR Shine and Eddie White played well for the Nighthawks while Kurt Nacewicz, Christian Beitel, Joe Cappiello, and Patrick Stein anchored the Colts.
BUCKS versus BULLS: Zack Gordon, CJ Donahue and Matt Hill powered the Bucks while Tyler Edwards, Andrew Meisel, JR Shine and Michael Rodriquez led the Bulls.

SILVER ARROWS versus BULLS: Shannon Zamary, Erin Fisher, Michelle Rahtelli and Rachel Peters led the Silver Arrows while Mary Plavnicky and Rachael Faste played well for the Bulls.
