The Lions were stopped, 47-43, by Jockey Hollow last week in the championship game of the Jockey Hollow Tournament and concluded the regular season at 12-2. The locals reached the title game with a come-from-behind win over Whisconier.
Trailing by eight points with less than six minutes to play, the Lions exploded to go on a 17-point run and win a tight game 52-44. Matt Datin canned 16 points and Josh Engler added 15 more to power the offense. Sean Maher tossed in 10 points while Oliver Powers had one of his best games, dropping in seven points to along with a solid defensive game.
Ishan Tatake and Rob Frangione made excellent interior passes that were key in jumpstarting the comeback.
