Daniel L. Quatrella, 85, of Newtown, died March 2 surrounded by his family in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on January 26, 1922, he was a son of Leonard and Maria Dioguardi Quatrella and was a longtime Bridgeport resident before moving to Newtown.
Survivors include his two sons, David Quatrella and his wife, Laurie, of Trumbull and Donald Quatrella and his wife, Kelly, of Trumbull; a sister, Norma Marshall of Bridgeport; two grandchildren, Daniel and Allie Quatrella; a sister-in-law, Rita Quatrella of Easton; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy Pollock Quatrella; a brother, Ralph (Ozzie) Quatrella; and a sister, Jennie Quatrella.
Mr Quatrella served in the US Army during World War II. He was a 50-year member of the Masonic Order, 33rd Degree, Ashlar-Aspetuck Lodge No 142, AF & AM Easton, a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, Bridgeport, the Pyramid Temple Shriners, Milford, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 399, Westport. He was a self-employed real estate broker.
Funeral services were March 6 in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull. Interment with full military honors followed in St John Cemetery, Monroe.
