Marketing Art Effectively

The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown will have Bob Crofut as its guest artist on Wednesday, March 14, at 7:30 pm. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street. All are welcome and admission is free.

Bob Crofut will talk about his career and explain how to market art more effectively. This will include discussion of the many technologies available, from reproductions and posters to brochures and ads placed in effective places.

He will also spend time explaining how he achieves his unique oil techniques, which has brought him such acclaim.

Mr Crofut has painted for over 25 years and has a love of historic America that comes through in his art. His forte is the American West, for which he feels a special affinity.

He attended the Boston Museum of Art and Tufts University. A decade ago, he decided to pursue his first love, painting with historic significance. This was achieved by creating his own market through his “American Remembrance” theme.

Bob Crofut has received 16 awards from The Society of Illustrators, of which he is a member. His work has appeared in Smithsonian Magazine, Alaska Magazine, National Geographic, American Heritage, Field and Stream, and Reader’s Digest, among other publications.
