Police Seek Missing Man

Police are seeking to learn the whereabouts of a local man who has been reported missing since February 17.

Dean Czaplicki, 36, of Timbermill Road in Sandy Hook was reported missing by his mother, said police Sergeant Richard Robinson.

Mr Czaplicki was last seen about 2 am on February 17 at the Pier 34 nightclub on Route 34 in Seymour, according to police. It is unclear why Mr Czaplicki is missing, police said.

Although Mr Czaplicki was at the bar with a friend, he left the area by himself, driving a dark green 1995 Chevrolet Lumina minivan, police said. The vehicle’s Connecticut marker plate is 180-UJC.

Mr Czaplicki is white, 6-foot, 3 inches tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.
