Snow may be on the ground, but baseball fever is in the air and it was never more apparent than at the grand opening of All Star Indoor Batting Range's new facility located in Brookfield.
Snow may be on the ground, but baseball fever is in the air and it was never more apparent than at the grand opening of All Star Indoor Batting Rangeâs new facility located in Brookfield.
All Star celebrated its grand opening in style with free hitting and clinics with an abundance of raffle prizes given away. More than 300 parents, children, athletes and coaches graced the doors of the new state of the art facility.
Owners Kevin Gilroy and Frank Rizzo have dreamed for years of the new facility, which has now become their reality. The building has been delayed for several years by the construction of Route 7. The batting range is located on 5 Production Drive, Brookfield, past the four cornerâs intersection.
Gilroy and Rizzo have appropriate space in their facility to run camps year round for hitting, batting and fielding. Sporting seven instruction tunnels and five batting cages, they will continue to offer pitching and be able to concentrate on fielding lessons. Many former pro baseball players have been working over the years with Gilroy and Rizzo teaching lessons to children from 5 to college level athletes. Pitcher Dave Fleming of Southbury, Sean Fesh of Bethel and catcher Joe Garbowski are some of the many teachers on hand for athletes to learn from.
The facility offers an exclusive Arc Sports Pro Shop, group classes, birthday parties, and individual, group and team rentals. Memberships are also available. All Star is open seven days a week to help feed your spring baseball hitting and batting fever.
