Caroline’s Gift

To the Editor:

We’d like to thank all those who have so generously donated to Caroline’s Gift. Caroline’s Gift aids families with financial need who are struggling to care for sick or disabled children. The overwhelming response of our Newtown neighbors has ensured the existence of Caroline’s Gift as an important charitable resource in our community.

We are all aware of the gaps in medical insurance coverage. For families with sick children, those gaps often lead to impossible choices. Last year donations to Caroline’s Gift helped purchase specialized medical equipment and helped to defray the cost of treatment for a number of Newtown children.

Caroline’s Gift has been exceptionally fortunate in having Newtown Youth Services’ assistance in administering the fund. For more information about Caroline’s Gift, you may contact Roseanne Loring at Newtown Youth Services.
