Anne E.      Springmeyer

Anne Elizabeth (Smith) Springmeyer, of Bethlehem and Edgewater, Florida, died March 8 at her home in Florida.

She was the mother of Glenn Springmeyer of Newtown.

Mrs Springmeyer was born in Bronx, N.Y., December 28, 1932, daughter of the late James and Rose Smith.

She graduated Class of 1950 from Mamaroneck High School, where she met Allan H. Springmeyer. They were married on October 10, 1953, and she became a full-time homemaker and day care provider. 

She lived in Newtown for 20 years and then moved to Bethlehem in 1991, where she was an active member of the Morris Senior Center. Known for her humor and strength, she enjoyed gardening, expanding her Teddy Bear collection, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Mrs Springmeyer is also survived by her husband, Allan H. Springmeyer, a former partner in Curtiss & Crandon Real Estate of Newtown; three other sons, Gary Springmeyer of Bethlehem, Kenneth Springmeyer of Middlebury, and Eric Springmeyer of Watertown; five grandchildren, Natalie, Danielle, Elizabeth, Christine, and Stuart; and her surviving brothers and sisters, Ellen Ericksen, Peggy Phipps, Alfred Smith, James Smith, and Brendon (Tony) Smith.

There are no calling hours. A private memorial service was held in Florida.
