SHERMAN â Auditions for A Chorus Line, the second production of Sherman Playersâ season, have been scheduled.
Director Lanny Mitchell is looking for eight men and nine women of ethnic diversity, ages 17 to 30, who sing, dance and act. Several âcutâ dancers, who sing and dance only, ages 17 to 30, also are needed as well as a male actor for the role of Zack, who can be any age.
Singers and dancers should arrive prepared with a song and sheet music, and will be asked to learn a dance combination.
Four audition dates are set. The first, for dancers only, is Sunday, March 21, from 3 to 7 pm, at Sherman Playhouse, at the junction of Routes 37 and 39 behind the Sherman firehouse.
The second, for singers and actors, is Monday, March 22, from 7 to 10 pm, also at the playhouse.
The third audition, for dancers, is Saturday, April 3, from 3 to 7 pm. This audition date will be moved to Letâs Dance Studios, which is at 994 Federal Road in Brookfield.
The final auction, for actors and singers, will return to the playhouse on is Sunday, April 4, from 3 to 7 pm.
A Chorus Line will open June 17 and then run weekends through July 17.
