Beth Ann Merenstein and Jeremy Lee Frankel were married on June 29, 2003, at the Heinz History Center in Pittsburgh, Penn., with the Rabbi Shoshana Kaminsky officiating.
The brideâs parents are Joel and Nancy Merenstein of Pittsburg, and the groomâs parents are Arnold and Barbara Frankel of Narragansett, R.I., formerly of Newtown.
Matron of honor was Andi Kalman Kirsch, and bridesmaids were Karen Stranz, Traci Reisner, Elana Kreisel, Claire Friedman, and Jessica Frankel. The groomâs grandmother, Isabel Garamella, was also in the bridal party.
Best man was Judd Wildman, and groomsmen were Ross Schieffer, Ryan Bullard, and Gary, Bruce and Dan Merenstein. Ushers were William Geisen and Michael Bogdan.
The bride attended Clark University and the University of Connecticut, where she received her PhD in sociology. She is director of the Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Connecticut.
The groom attended Newtown High School and the University of Connecticut and has a degree in communications. He is program coordinator for ESPN.
After a honeymoon in Belize, the couple took up residence in West Hartford.
