Program On Drug Benefits

NEW HAVEN â The Yale-New Haven Hospital Auxiliary will hold a free health lecture on âA Prescription for Understanding Medicareâs New Drug Benefitâ on Thursday, March 18, at noon, in the first floor lounge of the Grace Building, 25 Park Street. The speaker is Tucker Leary, vice president, Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Attendees should bring their own lunch; dessert and beverages will be provided by the YNHH Auxiliary.

Â Seating is limited; registration is required by calling 203-688-5717. Free parking is available in the Howard Avenue parking garage.

While I appreciate Mr. Walczak’s message of gratitude, I would be remiss not to express my concern about the tone and tactics of his campaign. The approach he took during this election is not one I would be proud of, and I hope that moving forward, he chooses to lead with the transparency and integrity he now speaks of. Newtown deserves a leader who communicates openly and follows through on the issues that truly matter to our residents. I have been disappointed by his silence on several key matters impacting our town, and I sincerely hope that changes as he takes office. I remain doubtful that he is up to the challenge ahead—but for the sake of our community, I truly hope time proves me wrong.
