The NHS Tech Club Comes Through
The NHS Tech Club Comes Through
To the Editor:
On behalf of the board of directors, staff, students, and families of Trinity Day School I would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the Newtown High School Tech Club for their role in the success of this yearâs Family Movie Night.
Annually, TDS holds what we call Family Movie Night during which we show movies selected specifically for a three and four-year-old audience. In past years this meant that we rented equipment such as a reel-to-reel projector and had to go as far as Ridgefield to obtain movies which at times turned out to be in shabby shape. Our dilemma this year was the cost of upgrading the equipment in order to have more quality selections for our audience. When we placed a call to NHS Tech Club Director Rich Novia, he was enthusiastic about coming to our aid and, in no time, a member of the Tech Club (Alex Snow) and I were on the phone discussing a solution. They were so generous in offering their equipment and expertise; they were prompt and delivered what they promised.
At a time when our high school and its students seem to be under fire, it was a great experience to work with someone who was capable, knowledgeable, and just plain nice!
Again, I would like to thank Mr Rich Novia, Mr Alex Snow, and Ms Zoe Osamonti for all their help and enthusiasm. And, I would like to recognize the Tech Club and NHS as a star in our community.
Sincerely,
Nancy Nathanson, Director
