Junior State Of America Conference

On March 31, 2001, Newtown High School will host a Junior State of America mini-conference from 9:45 am to 3:30 pm. It will feature the theme “Got Rights?”

The conference will be open to all high school students, from grades 9-12, who are interested in government and politics. The cost is $5.00 and food will be available for purchase. Registration is open from 9:30 to 10 am.

 Some of the debates will concern violence in the media, campaign finance, abortion rights, and Boy Scouts of America.
