Teens, Alcohol And Drugs
Teens, Alcohol And Drugs
The Family Counseling Center, a non-profit mental health agency serving the Newtown area, will present a free public workshop, âTeens, Alcohol and Drugs,â in the Community Meeting Room at the C.H. Booth Library on Main Street from 7 to 8:30 pm on March 20.
Experimentation with alcohol and/or drugs in adolescence is common. Unfortunately, teenagers often do not see the link between their actions today and the consequences tomorrow. They tend to feel indestructible and immune to problems that others experience. What are the warning signs? What can parents do?
Merry Frons, LCSW, will lead the discussion on this important topic. Parents with middle school age children and older are encouraged to attend. For more information, please call the Family Counseling Center at 426-8103.
