The American Red Cross will be visiting Newtown again on Tuesday, March 17. This month’s blood drive will run from 8:30 am-5 pm and will be held at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street.

March 1-31, donators will receive a $15 Amazon gift card for their donation. Also, successful donations will get a free A1C screening, a test commonly used to screen for prediabetes and diabetes. Participants do not need to fast and are encouraged to drink lots of water and eat a healthy meal before their appointment times.

Donators can streamline their donation process by visiting redcrossblood.org/rapidpass to fill out pre-donation readings and health history questions on the day of the appointment.
