Antiques Show A Success For Historical Society
Antiques Show A Success
For Historical Society
To the Editor:
The Newtown Historical Society held its 16th annual antiques show, one of our primary fundraisers, Sunday, March 4. I am very grateful to report it was a success and I would like to thank the exhibitors and patrons who participated, without whom we would have no event.
As with any fundraiser, a tremendous amount of planning and effort goes into bringing the event together. Sincere thanks to Nancy Taylor, our show chairperson, for all her hard work and meticulous attention to detail. Special thanks to John Renjilian, Peggy Gross, Mark Fries, Fred Kampmier, and Tim Fagan for all their extra efforts.
I would also like to express appreciation to the trustees, docents, and society members who gave their time to work at the show or Matthew Curtiss House. This combined effort made the day flow smoothly and greatly contributed to our overall success.
I look forward to seeing everyone next March at our 17th annual show.
Sincerely,
Elin F. Hayes
