ENFIELD, CONN. — The Yankee Pole Cat Insulator Club will have its annual Antique Insulator, Bottle and Collectibles Show on Sunday, March 25, at the American Legion Post #80. Show hours will be 8 am to 2 pm. There will be no admission charge for this year’s show.

More than 40 sales tables will feature all types of collectibles, with an emphasis on antique insulators and related items, such as old telephones and lightning rod equipment. The Yankee Pole Cat Insulator Club is an organization of approximately 75 members from the northeastern states who share a common interest in collecting glass and porcelain insulators. The insulator has been used for more than 150 years, first with the invention of the telegraph and then with the development of the telephone and electrical industries. There are more than 3,000 insulator collectors nationwide. The club was formed in 1971 and is the oldest active insulator club in the United States.

American Legion Post #80 is at 556 Enfield Street (Route 5 at exit 49, I-91). For information, www.insulators.com or 860-649-0477.
