Anne V. Lawlor

50-Year Resident Of

Newtown

Anne V. Lawlor, 75, of Newtown, died March 11. She was the wife of William F. Lawlor. She was born September 2, 1931, in Millerton, N.Y., daughter of Oliver and Anna Mae (Secor) Valentine. She was a Newtown resident for the past 50 years.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her sons and daughters, Anne L. Shaffer and her husband, Charley, of Vermont; Richard V. Swart of Wisconsin; John J. Swart and his wife, In Wha, of Virginia, and Mary R. McNulty and her husband, Thomas, of Connecticut; grandchildren, Naomi, Joseph, Daniel, Eric, and Ashley; and a brother Richard L. Valentine and his wife, Helen, of Millerton, N.Y. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her infant son, Rob.

Mrs Lawlor was a graduate of Alfred University in New York where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in science and also her nursing degree.

She was a registered nurse employed by Fairfield Hills State Hospital, retiring in 1991 after 22 years of service. She loved cooking and gardening.

Funeral services were scheduled at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, on Thursday, March 15, at 7:30 pm. Interment will take place in Millerton, N.Y., in the spring.

Calling hours were scheduled at the Green Funeral Home on Thursday, March 15, from 5 pm to the time of the service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford CT 06492.
