DANBURY â The Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury will be hosting two informational programs at the agencyâs 2 West Street location this month. Volunteer Coordinator Chrissy Deep will facilitate the open house events and explain the many possibilities of becoming part of the Womenâs Centerâs Volunteer Force.
A daytime session will be held Monday, March 19, at 10 am, and an evening session will be offered beginning at 6 pm on Thursday, March 22.
An overview of the centerâs goal to end sexual and domestic violence will be presented, along with programs, services, and volunteer opportunities. Call Ms Deep at 731-5200, extension 202, for more information and to register.
The Womenâs Center of Greater Danbury provides free and confidential services to prevent or lessen the trauma associated with domestic violence, sexual assault, and other major life transitions to thousands of women, children, and men annually. The programs of the Womenâs Center are supported by state and local government, area United Way agencies, and the people and businesses in the communities it serves, including Bethel, Bridgewater, Brookfield, Danbury, Kent, New Fairfield, New Milford, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield, Roxbury, Sherman, Warren, and Washington.
