A Full Weekend Of Railroadiana

BROOKFIELD — The Brookfield Museum and Historical Society will sponsor its tenth annual train show, “Super Model Train Exhibit XV,” on Saturday and Sunday, April 2-3. The show will be open from 10 am to 5 pm each day.

The show will feature N to G scale model train layouts and train collections. In addition, railroad-related photos, antiques, artwork, videos, memorabilia and authentic sounds will highlight the event.

Trains for children of all ages to operate will be available. Items for sale will include railroad whistles, engineer hats, and other related children’s items.

Admission will be  $3 for adults, $2 for seniors, $1 for children ages 7 to 14, and free for ages six and under. All proceeds will benefit future public programs of Brookfield Museum and Historical Society.

On Monday, April 4, the museum will host a free lecture by BMHS member Peter Cronin. The 7 pm program will concern the impact of Confederate and Union railroads during the Civil War.
