Gordon Price Jones

Gordon Price Jones, 76, of Nottingham Terrace, Waterbury, died March 13 in Beacon Brook Health Center, Naugatuck. Mr Jones was the husband of the late Grace (Howe) Jones.

Mr Jones was employed for 30 years as a custodian by the Newtown School System. At the time of his retirement, he was working at the Sandy Hook School, where he was truly loved by both teachers and students.

He was born in Poultney, Vt., on June 28, 1927, a son of the late Thomas P. and Catherine (Thomas) Jones.

He served in the US Army as a military policeman from 1947 to 1950.

Mr Jones is survived by a daughter, Joni Lynore and her husband Rick J. Normandin of Watertown; a granddaughter, Brooke Lynore Normandin; three stepchildren: Timothy Moulton and his wife Rebecca Moulton of Wallingford; Helynn Telesco of Norwalk; and Robert Moulton of Groton; five stepgrandchildren, Stephen Moulton, Danielle Moulton, Tammy Telesco, Amy Telesco, and Traci Roush.

Funeral Services were held March 17 in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Bethel in the spring.
